Thirst for Peace

During the three days, spiritual leaders participated in forums for intense dialogue and prayers. In the Portiuncula within Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels, sacred water from the source of the Ganges River in the Indian Himalayas was mixed together with the sacred water from Greenland into a heart shaped crystal vessel, representing the sacred heart of humanity. In the next morning, spiritual leaders carried the mixed sacred water for a Thirst for Peace Walk into the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi where prayers and offerings were made at the sacred convent.
